Chabi is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.[2][3]
Biography
Breath of the Wild
Chabi is a Hylian traveler who can be found throughout Hyrule Kingdom. She carries a Hunter's Shield and a Traveler's Sword. Link can save her from Bokoblins that regularly attack her as she camps. She always gives Monster Extract as a reward.[4]
The first time Link saves her, Chabi asks him how much he knows about Kilton and the Fang and Bone.[5] She gives Link a Monster Extract and explains that it was made by Kilton.[4] It makes Food taste better, and despite being made of monsters, Chabi considers it to be good.[6] She also shares rumors about Kilton, such as the fact that he is obsessed with monsters and does research with them.[7]
Chabi wants to meet Kilton to see if the stories are true, but he is difficult to track down.[8][9] She has heard from a trusted source that he is often found at a skull-shaped lake in Akkala.[10][11] According to her, Kilton is more interested in researching monsters than any normal person.[12]
After Link has visited the Fang and Bone for the first time, Chabi notes that Kilton has been spotted all over Hyrule Kingdom, not just in Akkala.[13] She shares stories of his shop popping up out of nowhere when night falls.[14][15] Because of this, she is beginning to doubt whether she wants to meet him.[16]
When Link saves Chabi again, she might insist that she did not need his help.[17] However, she might thank him for making the situation simpler.[18] She is embarrassed she had to have Link save her again.[19] Though she has not gotten anywhere in her search for Kilton, she has not given up.[20] She swears to find him someday.[21]
Chabi camps at the following locations:
- The fork in the road on the West Hyrule Plains near Ludfo's Bog. Here, she is attacked by a Blue Bokoblin.
- The ruins of a house south of Serenne Stable on Rowan Plain. She is found fighting a Black Bokoblin.
- The road east of the Akkala Parade Ground Ruins, where she fights a Blue Bokoblin.
- In the Shadow Pass forest south of the Shadow Hamlet Ruins. She is attacked by a Blue Bokoblin at this location.

- Chabi is one of several characters in Breath of the Wild that will hit Link back if he attacks them with a Weapon.[22][23][24] These attacks deal no damage.
