The Twisted Hallway is a location in Ocarina of Time.(OoT3D)[1] The Twisted Hallway goes unnamed in Ocarina of Time.

Features and Overview

The Twisted Hallway is a room that is warped and curved clockwise inside the Forest Temple.[2] It is initially accessible through the Stone Tower's highest level. Due to the warped nature of the Twisted Hallway, some parts of it are unusable or inaccessible in its default state. In the center of the chamber at the end of the Twisted Hallway, there is a stone pillar with a Ladder connecting to a lower level of the chamber. Along the eastern wall of this chamber, there is a Locked Door. There is also a Treasure Chest positioned horizontally along this wall, though Link is unable to access it.[3]

Once Link has the Fairy Bow, he can return the Twisted Hallway to normal by shooting the silver Eye Switch in the Stone Tower. In doing so, the Treasure Chest becomes available and the doorway containing the Locked Door becomes a pit that Link can fall through to reach 1F's northwestern room. Link can return the Twisted Hallway to its default state by striking the Eye Switch once more.

A similar room appears on the opposite side of the Forest Temple, though it appears in an upright position by default. By activating the frozen Eye Switch in the room south of it, Link is able to twist its floor to open a pit to 1F's northeastern room. In its twisted position, it mirrors the Twisted Hallway by curving counter-clockwise.

In the Master Quest mode, the Twisted Hallway is flipped and is set to an upright position by default. The gap in the floor leads to 1F's northeastern room which in turn connects to the West Courtyard. The room is controlled by a Crystal Switch in the Stone Tower, which warps the room and reveals a Locked Door to the west.
