Octives are enemies in Spirit Tracks.[1]

Characteristics

Octives submerge into the water when approached by Link and will shoot rocks at him once he is within their shooting range. Octives act similarly to Octoroks, as they are both water-borne, projectile-shooting enemies. These enemies will dive back under the water if Link comes too close, so Link must reflect or blow their projectiles back into their face to defeat them.

Ergtoroks, close relatives of the Octive, appear in the Sand Temple, where they submerge into the Sand rather than water. These foes are dealt with in similar ways, but also become weak through use of the Sand Wand.
