Spiked Beetles are a type of beetle first encountered up on Koholint Island in Link's Awakening. In normal conditions, without enemies, a Spiked Beetle will crawl around a room at a leisurely pace. When an intruder is spotted, they will spin towards an adversary in hopes of stabbing them to death with their razor sharp carapace. With leverage, an object such as a shield can be used to flip them over, exposing their weak under-belly. Since their first appearance, Spiked Beetles have also been spotted in Oracle of Ages, Oracle of Seasons, and The Minish Cap.
