The Deku Tree Chasm is a Chasm that opened within the Great Deku Tree's Navel in Korok Forest when the Upheaval began. It leads to an isolated portion of Korok Grove in the Great Hyrule Forest Depths.
When Link first arrives in Korok Forest, he will find the Great Deku Tree suffering from the effects of the Deku Tree Chasm's Gloom. At the bottom of the Chasm, he will find a mass of Gloom Spawn, which will proceed to attack him. After they have been defeated, a Phantom Ganon will appear to fight him as well. Following their fight, the Gloom will disappear from the Deku Tree Chasm, and a group of Koroks fly down to thank Link for saving the Great Deku Tree.[2]
