Biography

Breath of the Wild

Douma is a Hylian who can be found in the Lanayru Region of Hyrule. She is a self-described peddler and traveling Merchant, who goes wherever she feels.[4][5]

Initially, Douma is found at the fork in the road near the mouth of Zora River in the Lanayru Wetlands. She beckons Link over when she sees him,[6] where she remarks how strange it is to find another Hylian in the area.[7] She introduces herself and says it is nice to meet him.[8] Douma then wonders if Link spoke to the Zora nearby and if they asked him to head to Zora's Domain and meet Prince Sidon.[9][10] If Link says yes to both these questions, Douma reveals that she met Sidon, and the first thing he said to her was "I've been watching you!" and "What's your name?!"[11] Creeped out, she ran away, though she tells Link to visit if he wants to see a freak show.[12] However, she does not think he will go for Link, since he is not as much of a looker as she is.[13]

After Divine Beast Vah Ruta has been calmed, Douma returns to Zora's Domain. She will recognize Link if they have spoken before.[14] She explains that, since the Rain has stopped, she was able to reach the Domain.[15] Her plan is to buy rare goods from the Coral Reef, and she tells Link not to get in her way.[16] She is also relieved to take a break and enjoy the sights.[17] During the day, she sleeps at the Seabed Inn.[18]

Douma thinks that Mipha's Statue in the Zora's Domain Square is cute.[19] When Link tells her Mipha's name, Douma is annoyed and asks how she was supposed to know.[20] She becomes irritated when Link tells her this more than once.[21]

Douma's work is purchasing Items from the Coral Reef.[22] However, she considers it boring, so she suggests Link does not follow her.[23] She enjoys going sightseeing when she takes her breaks.[24] Within the Coral Reef, Douma remarks that Sasan was planning on stocking up on Hylian Rice.[25] Due to its abundance, however, she does not see it as a good purchase.[26] She instead suggests buying Chillfin Trouts or Sizzlefin Trouts, since they are not as common.[27][28]
