Gralens
Gralens is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Biography
Gralens is the leader of the Monster-Control Crew who can initially be found in Lookout Landing.[2]
When Link arrives at Lookout Landing, Gralens can be seen giving orders to Flaxel, Derbos and Landi, who are supposed to join the search for Zelda at Hyrule Castle.[3][4] If Link tries to speak to them, Gralens will interrupt.[5] He initially dismisses Link, but he is shocked when he realizes who he is speaking to.[6][7] He expresses how relieved he is to see Link well and introduces himself.[2] Though he wants to keep talking with Link, he tells him to report to Purah so she knows he is safe.[8][9] If Link tries to ask about the Monster-Control Crew, Gralens tells him to talk to Purah instead.[10] If Link ends their conversation, Gralens urges him to hurry.[11] Should Link try to speak to Flaxel, Derbos, or Landi, Derbos will once again redirect him to Purah.[9]
After Link has met with Purah, Gralens will express how concerned he is about Zelda, and he hopes that the Monster-Control Crew will be able to find her.[12][13] If Link asks about the search at Hyrule Castle, Gralens reveals that Purah recruited the Monster-Control Crew to help with finding Zelda.[14] If Link asks about the Monster-Control Crew, Gralens explains that they are a group of volunteers dedicated to defending the people of Hyrule from Monsters.[15] Gralens has been considered sending reinforcements to the members who are currently searching Hyrule Castle, though he wants to keep them on standby now that Link is joining the effort.[16] He predicts that Hoz will be surprised to see Link.[17]
After Purah asks the Monster-Control Crew to suspend the search for Zelda, they resume their primary mission to hunt down monsters.[18] He informs Link about the locations and tasks of their three squads and asks that he help them.[19][20]
- Hoz's squad hunts monster in Hyrule Field south of Lookout Landing.[21]
- Toren's squad is on the north side of Death Mountain in Eldin to take out monster nesting in a cave.[citation needed]
- Flaxel's squad wants to subdue a pirate ship on the Menoat River in Faron to the south.[22]
