Scorpis is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.[2]

Biography

Scorpis is a Hylian member of the Monster-Control Crew charged with managing Lookout Landing.[3] He guards the entrance to the Emergency Shelter. He wears a tattered Soldier's Armor chest piece, and he wields a Soldier's Spear.

When Link first arrives in Lookout Landing, Scorpis will be shocked to see him.[4] He asks Link where he has been, claiming that they have been hoping he would return.[5] Although he is concerned about Zelda's whereabouts, Scorpis directs Link to meet with Purah in her Research Lab.[6] After Link has done so, Scorpis will apologize for not greeting him properly and introduce himself.[3][7] He tells Link to come to him if he has any questions, before he proceeds to open the Emergency Shelter.[8] Banging his Soldier's Spear on the ground, Scorpis identifies himself and demands that the Shelter be opened.[9] The Triforce-design in the stonework then lowers itself and moves out of the way. Scorpis explains that it was once a refuge for the Royal Family of Hyrule, but now it is used by the people of Lookout Landing.[10]

Afterwards, Link is able to ask Scorpis questions about Lookout Landing.[11] When asked about recent events, Scorpis claims that the Cook in the Emergency Shelter, Burmano, has been struggling to come up with daily menus.[12] He recalls that when it was his duty to serve as the Shelter's chef, he gave up and started making Baked Apples.[13] If Link asks about Lookout Landing, he learns that it was originally established to study the Gloom that came from Beneath Hyrule Castle, but it has now become the central base in the search for Zelda.[14] Previously, the only residents were researchers and Zonai Survey Team members, but new people have come to help since Zelda went missing.[15] Lastly, if Link requests equipment, Scorpis offers the Emergency Shelter's Beds and Cooking Pot.[16] He also suggests that Link visit Mubs's Shop for Armor and Materials.[17] Should Link end their conversation, Scorpis claims that Hudson Construction is responsible for building new facilities.[18]
