Wingo is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Biography

Wingo is a Hylian. Although he is originally a volunteer for the search for Zelda and Link, he eventually becomes a member of Hoz's Monster-Control Crew squad.[2] He carries a Rusty Broadsword and a Lizal Shield.

Initially, Wingo can be found looking up at the First Gatehouse of Hyrule Castle, where he is participating in the search for Zelda. When Link speaks to him, he asks if he has come to help the search party.[3] He explains that including himself, many of the searchers feel as though they owe Zelda, which motivates them to look for her.[2][4] However, he has not been able to meet with Hoz due to his position on top of the First Gatehouse.[5] He suggests that they should stay out of the way until they figure out how to help.[6][7] Should Hoz not come down soon, Wingo considers climbing up the First Gatehouse to meet him.[8] After Hoz gives the order to withdraw from Hyrule Castle, Wingo realizes he would be annoying if he tried to talk to him right now.[9]

After the apparition of Zelda disappears, he moves out with the squad to their next mission, a Monster Stronghold south of the Hyrule Garrison Ruins. While fighting, he uses a Lizal Shield and a Rusty Broadsword and doesn't want Link to distract him.[10][11]
