Descriptionshide ▲

Target lock: Quadro Baba

This violent plant is widespread in wooded areas. It will attempt to bite anything that approaches it.

More rare than Deku Baba, Quadro Baba has greater stamina. A golden husk and dynamic mouth are this plant's distinguishing features.

Quadro Babas are unique, rare Deku Babas with gold-colored husks.[3] In addition to being more aggressive and having more health, they possess the ability to open their mouths either horizontally or vertically.[3] They can also dodge Link's attacks, including stabs with his Sword. After dodging, they will attack and change their mouth position.[4]

Much like the common Deku Baba, Quadro Babas are vulnerable only when their mouths are exposed when opened. Link must slice alongside the opening of its mouth, using a Vertical Slash if its mouth is open vertically, or a Side Slash if its mouth is open horizontally. Its mouth also briefly opens up fully when it attacks, making it vulnerable to both Side Slashes and Vertical Slashes. Quadro Babas can also be defeated through alternate methods: dropping a Bomb with the Beetle will defeat it, as well as shooting an Arrow with the Bow at its mouth or vine. A Shield Bash can also be used to stun this Enemy, which can then be chopped in half.
