Sideways Climbing Speed Up,(TotKTears of the Kingdom)[1] also known as Sideways Climbing Speed Increased,(BotWBreath of the Wild)[2] is a recurring Added Effect in The Legend of Zelda series.
Overview
Sideways Climbing Speed Up is a hidden Added Effect found on Ravio's Hood in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. It increases Link's horizontal Climbing speed by up to 70%, depending on the angle of the direction Link is moving. The speed increase is at its greatest when Link is Climbing directly sideways, and it has no effect when Link is Climbing directly up or down. It stacks multiplicatively with Climb Speed Up.
Trivia
- Sideways Climbing Speed Up is a reference to the power given by Ravio's Bracelet in A Link Between Worlds, as horizontal movement is the only means of navigating while Wall Merging.
