Features and Overview
A Link to the Past
The Ice Cave is a mysterious frozen Cave on the eastern side of Lake Hylia. It has blue, Icy walls and grayish-purple floors.
Despite being a small location that is easily missed on Link's quest, the Ice Cave is very significant to the completion of his adventure, as it contains the Ice Rod. Link is first told about the Cave by Sahasrahla, who informs him that a very important Item is found there that he must obtain.[3] At first, Link will only locate a single entrance that leads to a Fragile Wall; using a Bomb to blow a hole in this wall will reveal a Fairy Fountain in the middle of the frozen Cave. Passing through another passageway he will find a number of unmovable Blocks barring his way to a Treasure Chest. To reach this Chest, which contains the Ice Rod, Link will have to leave the Ice Cave and blow open another entrance near the first.
The Ice Cave contains a sole Enemy; the Golden Bee, which hides on the Fairy Statue in the Fountain.[4] If Link uses the Pegasus Shoes to perform a Dash Attack into this Statue, the Bee will reveal itself and attempt to attack Link. If the Insect is caught in a Bottle, it will attack nearby Enemies when released. In A Link to the Past & Four Swords, Link can also take one of these Golden Bees to a Shop in the Village of Outcasts. By showing it to the owner, he will then sell Golden Bees to Link any time he wishes to purchase one. Link can also return to the Ice Cave to obtain another at any time.

Breath of the Wild
In Breath of the Wild, the Ice Cave is a Cave in the Hebra Mountains below the Hebra North Summit. It contains the Hebra Great Skeleton and To Quomo Shrine. The Ice Cave has bluish-purple Ice with dark patches running through it along the walls in and in spikes on the Cave's floor. A deep pool of Water which the Great Skeleton is partially submerged in is located at the Cave's lowest point, with short Grass around its shore.
The Ice Cave is located behind a Giant Stone Door southeast of the Hebra North Summit, which can be knocked down with a Snowball rolled from the top of a nearby hill.
