The Bokoblin Gear is a recurring archetype of Weapon in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Bokoblin Gear is a variety of equipment wielded by Bokoblins of all types, and it occurs in three tiers of increasing strength and durability. Regular Bokoblin Gear is typically wielded by basic Bokoblins. It is formed out of Tree Branches and bark and, due to its poor construction, has low durability and attack power.[2][3][4] Its upgraded form, which bears the "Spiked" modifier, is most commonly found wielded by Blue Bokoblins. It is strengthened through the use of spikes of sharpened Animal bone, giving it greater durability and damage output.[5][6][7][8] The final variation, designated with the "Dragonbone" modifier, is wielded by Black Bokoblins, Silver Bokoblins, and Golden Bokoblins. It is reinforced with fossilized bones, which further increases its attack power and durability beyond those of Spiked weapons.[9][10][11][12][13]

When scanned with the amiibo Rune, the Breath of the Wild Series Bokoblin amiibo will spawn a Treasure Chest containing a piece of Bokoblin Gear.

All forms of Bokoblin Gear are formed around a wooden base. This means that Weapons in this archetype will float in Water, and they cannot attract Lightning during Thunderstorms or conduct Electricity. However, they will burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate, and they are unable to be manipulated through the Magnesis Rune.
