The Ventest Clothing Boutique is an Armor Shop in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Features and Overview

The Ventest Clothing Boutique is a shop in Hateno Village managed by Sophie, a girl who stands quietly in the corner of the store.[2] The Ventest Clothing Boutique notably sells two complete Sets of Armor: the Hylian Set and the Soldier's Set.

The Ventest Clothing Boutique was formerly operated by Sophie's father, Seldon, who now simply paces outside the shop offering tour guides to travelers.[3] As such, it is the final destination of "Seldon's Village Tours" and Link is welcomed to visit the store whenever he has the time to do so.[4] If it is raining outside, Seldon will run inside and sit at the work station located at the back of the store. The Ventest Clothing Boutique also features a side room with functions as a joint kitchen and bedroom.

Wares and Pricing

Item Description Price

Hylian Hood
A hood woven using traditional Hyrulean methods. It's made from a sturdy material to protect travelers from the harsh sun and weather.

Hylian Tunic
A common garb that achieved widespread popularity in Hyrule, particularly among travelers. Its light-yet-sturdy fabric doesn't limit movement.

Hylian Trousers
Traditional dress trousers of Hyrule. The plush fabric makes these trousers quite comfortable, and their high durability makes them ideal for travelers.

Soldier's Helm
Headgear made from sturdy metals for frontline soldiers. Praised for their defensive capabilities, the only helms that remain are those that survived the Calamity.

Soldier's Armor
Hyrulean guards praised this armor for its superior defense. Made from sturdy plates of metal, the high level of craftsmanship that went into it is obvious with just a glance.

Soldier's Greaves
Hyrulean guards favored these greaves. They owe their distinctly high defense to the metal plates they're made from, but the added weight takes some getting used to.

Warm Doublet
A warm pullover typically worn by mountain folk. Its sturdy fabric and thick gloves are great at retaining body heat.

Trivia

  • The Sign outside of the Ventest Clothing Boutique bears Hylian typography translating to "Tailor."[5]

Nomenclature

Like its neighboring shop, the East Wind, the Ventest Clothing Boutique is thematically named after wind. "Ventest" is a corruption of ventus, Latin for "wind."
