A Pilgrimage of Light is an Object in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Location and Uses

A Pilgrimage of Light is the fifth of 13 Ancient Tablets. It can be found on a Small Island in the East Hebra Sky Archipelago. On inspecting the Ancient Tablet, Link is unable to read its contents.[2] During the "Messages from an Ancient Era" Side Adventure, Link can bring Wortsworth a Picture of the Tablet so that he can create a translation.[3]

After the Founding of the Kingdom of Hyrule, Rauru and Sonia created Shrines of Light to seal away Monsters and prevent their revival.[4] They did so using their powers of Light and Time.[5] Wortsworth claims that, even in the present Era of the Wilds, they should be grateful for their work.[6] As a reward for bringing him a Picture of the Ancient Tablet, Wortsworth gives Link a Silver Rupee.[7] Once Wortsworth has translated all 13 Ancient Tablets, he will display a copy of A Pilgrimage of Light's translation on the wall of the Zonai Survey Team Base.[8]

A Pilgrimage of Light

The king was late to come this evening, so the queen made to share tales of her land, of shrines all green and glowing.

Of early days since Hyrule's founding have diverse monsters besieged and assailed her realm.

Unceasing in strife, they brought despair to folks' lives. King and queen beset themselves to bring the scourge to end.

With might of light and power, they were driven aback, and the royal couple made these shrines to seal them away.

These holy seals are called Shrines of Light.

Great king, great queen, I thank you. You fought when I was a young maiden, that I could know peace.
