The Gargantu-Bug is a Boss in Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland.[1]
Characteristics
The Gargantu-Bug is the third encounter with the Death Bug.[2] Once the Ultra Death Bug has been defeated, the grotesque head on its back grows several long, spindly legs, and pieces the shattered carapace of the Ultra Death Bug back together into four limbs. Tingle must drop five Bomb Fruits or Tingle Bombs on its head to defeat it.[3]
When defeated, the Gargantu-Bug shatters into red, Rupee-like crystals and purple fragments of its carapace.[4] In total, collecting all of these shards yields 40,000 Rupees.[5] After defeating it, Tingle obtains the Earth Rupee.
