Skytail are Enemies in Skyward Sword.[1]

Characteristics

Skytails are giant, winged Monsters that live inside large thunderclouds such as the Thunderhead. They fly in winding, twirling motions, usually in small groups. When they spot Link flying his Crimson Loftwing, they will congregate on his location and charge at him and his Loftwing, aiming to bite them with their large pincers. Their movements are meandering and unpredictable, making them difficult to avoid and damage. Their weak point is the tip of their tails, which must be hit with a Charge or Spiral Charge from Link's Loftwing to destroy them.

They are one of the primary dangers during the battle with Levias.

Nomenclature

The Skytail's Japanese name, スカイテール (Sukaitēru), contains the word テール (Tēru), which is the Japanese name for Moldorms in most games.
