The Ancient Saddle is an Item in Breath of the Wild.[1] It is exclusive to The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack.
Location and Uses
The Ancient Saddle is a Saddle made from Sheikah Ancient Technology, and it is a piece of Ancient Horse Gear.[1] When The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack is active, Link will receive the "EX Ancient Horse Rumors" Side Quest, which instructs him to read the copy of Super Rumor Mill EX at Highland Stable.[2] There, Link can read Super Rumor Mill V3, which explains that the Ancient Saddle is found at a spring where a Horse spirit resides.[3] Afterwards, Link can find the Saddle inside a metal EX Treasure Chest that is embedded in the ground at Malanya Spring.
Link can equip the Ancient Saddle to his Horses by talking to workers at Highland Stable, Outskirt Stable, South Akkala Stable, or Woodland Stable.[4] When equipped, Link is capable of Whistling to Warp his Horse nearly anywhere that a Horse can be present,[1] even if the Horse is out of earshot and would not be able to run to Link's location. As with other Saddles, the Ancient Saddle cannot be equipped to Epona or the Giant Horse.[5][6]
