It has been speculated by many fans that this boss is the same as the one in the [[Insect Cavern]] dungeon, [[Beetle King]], despite already witnessing its destruction. The reason for this belief is that the bosses are both similar in appearance and title, and that they are both fought the same way. It should also be noted that the Beetle King boss changes its form often, thus meaning that if they were the same, it could very well have slight alterations.
