Throughout The Legend of Zelda series, an unrevisitable area is any location that can only be visited up only until it reaches a certain point where it can never be returned to again. They are found during the story quest where the player would end up in these places and may contain items that can be permanently missed. This listing is intended for giving players a heads-up about areas that they won't be able to visit again.

Ocarina of Time

The latter portion of the Castle Courtyard and the area where Princess Zelda is located can be visited up until Link has all three Spiritual Stones where an incident with the princess and Impa fleeing from Ganondorf will occur and as a result, security at Hyrule Castle is sufficiently raised to which the castle guards will block the maze areas, preventing Link from sneaking past them, meaning he will never visit these areas again.

Majora's Mask

The Lost Woods and the Sealed Room are only available at the beginning of the story and once Link falls into the Portal and later goes through the exit beyond the Deku Butler's Son's remains, both the Lost Woods and the Sealed Room are permanently inaccessable as the door will close behind him and cannot be opened in gameplay.

The Wind Waker

The area of Dragon Roost Cavern where Medli was held captive and where the Miniboss battle takes place is only accessible once. Due to Valoo accidentally destroying the stairs during Link's first climb to the summit and the exit being too high for him to reach, Link will be unable to return to this area again.

Tetra's Pirate Ship is only accessable twice, with the first being after Link boards it at the beginning to save his kidnapped sister which is up until he meets with Tetra at the crow's nest where Link is launched via catapult. His second visit is during a story quest where Link spies on the pirates to learn information about their plans to head to Outset Island in search of Jabun and heads to the ship to do another drill with Niko where he obtains the Bombs to blow up a slab. After Link gains Nayru's Pearl from Jabun, the Pirate Ship cannot be revisited afterwards.

At the Forsaken Fortress, the tower where Aryll, Mila, and Maggie are held can only be visited twice though can't be fully explored with the first-time involving Link getting thrown out of the tower by the Helmaroc King and the second time is where the room gets flooded and Link must run to the top to avoid the Helmaroc King until they reach the top. Additionally, the ship at the top of the Fortress where Ganondorf was can only be visited once until they head inside. Due to Valoo setting this ship on fire to the point where it falls in ruin, both the prisoners' chamber and the ship cannot be visited again after that.

The Ghost Ship is only accessible once Link gains the Ghost Ship Chart where he can board it in certain locations depending on the moon's current phase. Once Link gets the Triforce Chart, the Ghost Ship vanishes and can never be accessed again.

Twilight Princess

The Hyrule Castle Sewers, the roof and Princess Zelda's room can be accessed twice in the storyline with the first time being where Link is taken prisoner and must make his way to Princess Zelda. Once Zant mortal wounds Midna, the immobilized Jovani will open the way to the castle sewers that Link must take to reach Princess Zelda again. Once they leave the castle after Midna is healed, these areas cannot be reentered again (with Jovani's shortcut being covered by gold), even after Midna uses her power to destroy the castle barrier.

Phantom Hourglass

The Ghost Ship vanishes after Tetra is rescued from it, and can never be entered again. If Link did not retrieve the Heart Container after defeating the Cubus Sisters, it will later be sent to him in a Letter from a mysterious sender. Link can choose to decline the Heart Container, rendering it permanently inaccessible.

Spirit Tracks

The shortcut that both Link and Princess Zelda use to reach the Tower of Spirits due to the loss of train tracks can only be gone through once and when the tracks are restored, while the rest of the cave is still accessible, the exit in the shortcut is permanently sealed off.

Skyward Sword

The Sky Keep dungeon is only accessible up until Link gathers the full pieces of the Triforce which he will then use to wish for the destruction of the Demon King, Demise. The Goddess Statue descends and lands into the Sealed Grounds which renders the Sky Keep forever inaccessible.

A Link Between Worlds

The section of the Lost Woods where a group of Poes lead Link toward the Sacred Grove can only be visited when he is searching for the Master Sword. After claiming the blade, entering this area again takes Link directly to the Sacred Grove.

After Link defeats Yuga at Hyrule Castle, there is a bridge that connects with the top of the tower with Princess Zelda's office and after Link goes to Lorule and encounters Princess Hilda and is able to return to Hyrule, the doors leading to this bridge is permanently closed.

Breath of the Wild

All of the Divine Beasts' interiors are only explorable throughout the campaign after Link receives help from certain residents to reach them. It is only after the battle with the Blight Ganons is where Link makes the choice to activate the Main Control Unit which warns that he won't ever return inside them again and once he does choose to go through with it, the Champions, Mipha, Daruk, Revali, and Urbosa will relocate them to aim at Hyrule Castle. As a result, if Link tries to approach the Divine Beasts after that, he will be forbidden to proceed as it is considered too dangerous. If the Champions' Ballad is completed, Link can only revisit the boss room to fight the Blight Ganon, but he won't be able to visit any other rooms.

Tears of the Kingdom

The prologue version of Beneath Hyrule Castle is only explorable in the game's intro, and cannot be visited in that state once Link wakes up on the Great Sky Island.
