Patch is a character in Oracle of Ages.[2]

Biography

Patch is a seemingly insane man who lives in a Cave at the top of Restoration Wall. He runs Patch's Crazy Cart, a "trap, err... ceremony" to repair certain items. The two items he repairs in Oracle of Ages are the Tuni Nut of Symmetry Village and the Broken Sword, later the Noble Sword.

In his "ceremony", Link must push Red Hardhat Beetles into pits in the four corners of the room. While doing this he must also make sure a cart does not run over the item being repaired. This is done by Link standing on a Switch as the cart is about to go on the track of the item. The item's reparations are completed when all the Hardhat Beetles are gone.

Trivia

  • If Link already has the Noble Sword when he gives Patch the Broken Sword, the Broken Sword will instead become the Master Sword. This works only in a linked game.
