Forest Water is an item in The Wind Waker.[1]

Location and Uses

Forest Water is a mystical, life-giving water that exists only within the Forest Haven.[2] The water is said to be the only thing keeping the Forest Haven, the Koroks, and the Great Deku Tree alive.[3]

When the Forest Water is taken outside of the Forest Haven in an empty Bottle, the magical properties of Forest Water wear off after 20 minutes in The Wind Waker,[4] or 30 minutes in The Wind Waker HD.[5]

The Koroks, during their annual Korok Ceremony, fly about the Great Sea and plant Forest Tree saplings on several islands. After the ceremony, however, the planted trees that usually thrive and grow to great heights mysteriously wither and slowly die.[6] The Koroks ask Link to fetch Forest Water from the Forest Haven and sprinkle it upon all eight Forest Trees before it denatures into normal water.[7][8][9] If he reaches them all before the Forest Water expires, the Forest Tree sprouts will sprout into healthy Forest Trees, with the nearest one dropping a Piece of Heart.[10]
