Naydra's Scales are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda seriesWarning: {{TLoZ|Series}} is deprecated.[1][2]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Naydra's Scales can be collected from the Dragon Naydra, who rests atop Mount Lanayru. After defeating Malice Naydra and freeing the Dragon, Link will be able to strike it anywhere on its body and retrieve a Scale. The first time that Link strikes Naydra afterwards, it will yield a Scale regardless of where it was struck. To subsequently obtain a Scale from Naydra, Link must strike the main portion of its body. A Scale can also be found in a Treasure Chest beneath a stone slab above the northern entrance to the Library at Hyrule Castle.

Link must place a Scale inside the Spring of Wisdom to complete the Shrine Quest "The Spring of Wisdom". Doing so will yield the way to Jitan Sa'mi Shrine.

Cooking with Naydra's Scales will add 90 seconds to the Food's Added Effect and guarantee a critical dish. They can also be used at the Kochi Dye Shop to make Light Blue Dye.
