The Wake-Up Mushroom is an Item in The Minish Cap.[1]

Location and Uses

The Wake-Up Mushroom is a white-stalked Mushroom with a red cap and yellow spots. It gets its name from its foul stench, which is strong enough to wake anyone up.[2] Link can purchase one from Syrup for 60 Rupees after his first visit to the Castor Wilds.[3] It can then be taken to Rem in Hyrule Town to wake him from his sleep. As thanks, Rem gives Link the Pegasus Boots that he was working on.[4]

  2. "Whaa--! What is that terrifyingly bad smell!? A wake-up mushroom?! I should have guessed! So you woke me up? Thanks, I just remembered I have something urgent to do!" — Rem (The Minish Cap)
  3. "Ah, yes! A fine choice, my dear! That's a limited-time article! One whiff, and you're wide-awake! That is why it's called a wake-up mushroom! Would you like to buy it for 60 Rupees?" — Syrup (The Minish Cap)
  4. "?! Huh? What now?! There are more new shoes! You probably won't believe this, but... I have a strange habit of making shoes in my sleep! So you must have come here because you want some of my shoes, right? Tell you what: because you were nice enough to wake me, you can have 'em! Hold on a sec, though. I just want to finish this one last bit..." — Rem (The Minish Cap)
