Though they were once regular Hearty Truffles, being left unpicked for years and has caused them to grow larger.[1] They can be found growing at the base of trees in the Hebra Mountains and the Great Hyrule Forest.
Like all hearty-type foods, Big Hearty Truffles can be Cooked in a Cooking Pot to restore Link's Life Gauge and increase his maximum health, though it increases the heart count more than a regular Hearty Truffle.[1] It can be eaten for three Hearts, more than the normal Hearty Truffle.
