Breath of the Wild
The Rauru Settlement Ruins Well is situated among the Rauru Settlement Ruins in the Great Hyrule Forest. 100 years before Breath of the Wild, it was part of Rauru Settlement, which was destroyed during the Great Calamity.[2]
Tears of the Kingdom
The Rauru Settlement Ruins Well reappears in Tears of the Kingdom, still being located in the Great Hyrule Forest.[3] Link is now able to access its interior. Most of its interior consists of a Bottomless Bog, which will cause Link to drown if he falls into it. However, several Boards are located within the Well. Link can use Ultrahand to position these Boards, allowing him to cross the Bog and reach dry land on its eastern side. There, he will find a a multitude of Brightbloom Seeds and a single Luminous Stone Deposit.

Nomenclature
The Rauru Settlement Ruins Well is named after the Rauru Settlement Ruins, which themselves are named after Rauru, the Sage of Light from Ocarina of Time.[4] As of Tears of the Kingdom and the release of Zelda Notes, both the Ruins and the Well have been retroactively named after the first King of Hyrule, Rauru.[5] In Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, Rauru's name is also utilized by Rauru Hillside and the Rauru Hillside Cave. In The Adventure of Link, his name is used by Rauru Town.
