The Goponga Village Ruins Well is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.(TotK)[1] The Goponga Village Ruins Well goes unnamed in Breath of the Wild.

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Goponga Village Ruins Well is a part of the Goponga Village Ruins, which are located on Goponga Island in the Lanayru Wetlands. Before the Great Calamity, which occurred 100 years prior to the events of Breath of the Wild, the Well was part of Goponga Village.[2]

Tears of the Kingdom

The Goponga Village Ruins Well returns in Tears of the Kingdom, and it is still part of the Goponga Village Ruins in the Lanayru Wetlands.[3] Most of the Well's interior is filled with Water, but a Cooking Pot and Barrels can be found on its dry land. There is also a Note on the Table written by Aurie Taamu, wherein he considers making an Elixir using Sticky Frogs.[4]

The Goponga Village Ruins Well is named after the Goponga Village Ruins. The Ruins themselves are named after Goponga Swamp, a location in Link's Awakening.[5]
