Entrance to the Shrine
Jonsau Shrine can be found on Mercay Island in the Lanayru Wetlands. It corresponds to the Uasnoj Lightroot in the Depths.

The entrance room to Jonsau Shrine features a pool with a structure above its center. Along the far wall, there is an entryway that is blocked by a portcullis. The pool's Water holds a spherical Float, and the structure above the pool bears a downward-facing Target Switch. This Target Switch can be activated by holding the Float below the Water with Ultrahand and releasing it to make use of the buoyant force, sending the Float into the Target Switch. Alternatively, the Target Switch can be activated with any strong force, such as being struck with a Bomb Flower. When activated, the Target Switch releases the portcullis, allowing entry into a hallway further into the Shrine.
This hallway leads to another room with its own pool and structure with a downward-facing Target Switch. In this pool, there is a buoyant Board that can be used to activate the Target Switch and release the portcullis in this room. Link is then able to advance to the final room.

In the final room, there is a more complex structure set in a pool. This structure features a rail extending from the Water upward to a square platform with a hole in the middle. A basket set along this rail sits above the hole but is blocked by a wooden Board. By using the spherical Float in this pool, Link can dislodge the Board and send the basket falling down the rail. Link can then use the Float in tandem with the basket to ascend the rail platform, or use Recall to return the basket to its former position while he sits inside. Atop this platform, Link is able to walk over the gate barring access to the end of the Shrine.
A Rauru and Sonia Statue can be found at the end of Jonsau Shrine. By interacting with the Terminal in front of the Statue, Link can receive a Light of Blessing to cleanse the corruption of Darkness from within him.[2][3]
