The Teniten Shrine,[1] designated by the trial name Combat Training: Throwing,[1] is a Shrine of Light in Tears of the Kingdom.

Entrance to the Shrine

The Teniten Shrine can be found on the southwest side of Whistling Hill in Hyrule Field, near the entrance to the Whistling Hill Cave. It corresponds to the Netinet Lightroot in the Depths.

The platform inside Teniten Shrine

The entrance to Teniten Shrine opens into a spacious room with a raised half-pipe platform. To the left of the entrance is a rack stocked with five Rusty Halberds. When Link approaches the platform, a Training Construct atop it will awaken and a Mysterious Voice will speak to him. The Voice instructs him to throw a Weapon at the Training Construct.[2] The Training Construct will then periodically take shots at Link with its Construct Bow.

As the Mysterious Voice warns, only thrown Weapons will have any effect on the Training Construct.[2] Sword Beams from the Master Sword will not affect it, nor will attacks from Bows. Materials thrown at the Training Construct will simply disintegrate, and the lasting effects such as the Fire given off by Fire Fruits will not affect it.

When the Training Construct is struck with a thrown Weapon, the Mysterious Voice will congratulate Link and then warn him to watch the Enemy's movements.[3] At this point, the Training Construct will begin moving from side to side atop the platform and continue to shoot at Link. When it is struck by a thrown Weapon for a second time, it will be defeated. The Voice will again speak and instruct Link to advance further into the Shrine as a portcullis near the end of the Shrine lifts.[4]

A Statue of Rauru and Sonia can be found at the end of the Teniten Shrine. By interacting with the Terminal in front of the Statue, Link can receive a Light of Blessing to cleanse the corruption of Darkness from within him.[5][6]
