This article is about the dungeon in Four Swords Adventures. For other uses, see Pyramid (Disambiguation).

The Pyramid is a Stage in Four Swords Adventures.[1] It is the final Stage of The Desert of Doubt, coming after the Desert of Doubt and the Desert Temple. This large monolith, reminiscent of the Ancient Egyptians, is said to have been constructed by the ancestors of the Zuna.[2]

Themes and Navigation

The Pyramid is filled with slow-moving yet dangerous Gibdos and Puzzles which the Links must complete to reach the Big Moldorm that lurks deep within the ancient tomb. Shadow Link also appears to place Giant Bombs that instantly defeat the Links if hit. After the Big Moldorm is defeated, the Links rescue the Purple Maiden. With the inclusion of the Purple Maiden, all six Maidens telepathically call out to Princess Zelda to determine her location.[3] However, before the Links rescue the Purple Maiden, they realize alongside the Red Maiden that the Trident is missing from its resting place in the Pyramid. The Maidens believe the one behind its theft is Ganon.

Force Gems are rather abundant in this Stage, with the 2000 needed to charge the Four Sword obtained quickly. The Big Key unlocks a Big Chest containing a rare Force Gem worth 1,000.
