The Gee Ha'rah Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Tandem,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.

Entrance to the Shrine

Gee Ha'rah Shrine is found in the Kopeeki Drifts Cave, which is behind a Giant Stone Door at the bottom of Kopeeki Drifts on the Tabantha Frontier. At the northeast end of the Kopeeki Drifts, an abandoned shelter can be found with many Snowballs. If Link manages to roll a large enough Snowball down the Kopeeki Drifts and into the Giant Stone Door, the Door will collapse, allowing Link to access the Ancient Shrine. As Link enters the Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Gee Ha'rah.[2]

Themes and Navigation

In the first room of Gee Ha'rah Shrine, a large stone Boulder is suspended above a Stake by a rope. The rope can be cut by shooting Arrows at it, which causes it to fall onto the Stake. Once the Stake is activated, a portcullis at the back of the room will rise, leading to a small corridor.

To the right of the first room is a room with another stone Boulder suspended above a Stake, but this Boulder is suspended by two ropes on opposite sides. In order to complete the Trial, Link must use the Stasis Rune on the Boulder, suspended it in the air while he cuts the ropes. When Stasis wears off, the Boulder will fall down directly onto the Stake. This causes the portcullis behind the Stake to rise, allowing Link access to the Monk's Pedestal.

When Link approaches Gee Ha'rah, the Monk will give him a Spirit Orb as a reward for completing the Trial.[3] Afterwards, Gee Ha'rah will wish Link well before fading away.[4]

To the left of the first room is a room with another large stone Boulder suspended by two ropes. Instead of being below the Boulder, a Stake is located on the western wall. To activate this Stake, Link must cut the rope furthest from it, causing the Boulder to swing into it. This causes a portcullis at the back of the room to rise, leading to a small room with a Treasure Chest containing a Diamond.
