Themes and Navigation

The Shrine opens into a large chamber with eight unlit Zonai-style Torches arranged in a circle at its center and a portcullis opposite the entrance barring entry into the rest of the Shrine. Above each of these Torches, there are custom Hydrants hanging from floating pillars. If any of the Torches are lit, these Hydrants will activate, dousing them in the process.

At the center of this circle, there is a Motor connected to a partial circuit that leads to the left outside of the circle's space. After a short gap, a second circuit continues along this line to an Electricity Generator. A long Metal Plate can be found near the Electricity Generator, providing a means to connect the circuits and activating the Motor.

To the right of the circle, there is a Propeller situated on a small pedestal. If this Propeller is lost or Fused onto one of Link's Equipment, a replacement will appear on this pedestal. Beside the Propeller, there is a short staircase to a grated platform leading over the circle of Torches.

In order to lift the portcullis, Link must attach the Propeller onto the Motor with Ultrahand and connect the circuit to the Electricity Generator. This will cause the Propeller to act as a fan, creating an Updraft toward the upper reaches of the chamber. From this point, Link can use the platform to catch the Updraft and Paraglide to a high ledge on the far left side of the wall opposite the entrance.

On this ledge, there are three pedestals holding Flame Emitters, with the central Flame Emitter already active. As with the Propeller, these Flame Emitters will reappear if they are lost or Fused. By bringing these Flame Emitters down to the base floor, Link can attach one of them onto the top of the Propeller to create a spinning source of Fire that will light all of the Torches in quick succession. With all of the Torches lit, the portcullis raises, granting access to the end of the Shrine.

A Rauru and Sonia Statue can be found at the end of Gemimik Shrine. By interacting with the Terminal in front of the Statue, Link can receive a Light of Blessing to cleanse the corruption of Darkness from within him.[2][3]
