Tera's Great Fairy Fountain
Tera's Great Fairy Fountain is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.(BotWBreath of the Wild)[1] Tera's Great Fairy Fountain goes unnamed in Tears of the Kingdom.
Features and Overview
Breath of the Wild
Tera's Great Fairy Fountain is located beneath the tail of the Gerudo Great Skeleton in Gerudo Desert.[2] As its name implies, it is home to the Great Fairy named Tera. Unlike other Great Fairy Fountains, it is not surrounded by a pool of Water, but it still features a variety of plants.
When Link first finds Tera's Great Fairy Fountain, it will be closed into a bud. Tera speaks to him from inside, asking that he listen to her story.[3] If Link agrees, she explains that her Fountain was once a spring, but travelers have stopped coming by to offer her Rupees, resulting in her power dwindling.[4] She now requires Rupees in order to restore her power.[5] Depending on how many other Great Fairy Fountains have been opened, Tera will ask for either 100 Rupees,[6] 500 Rupees,[7] 1,000 Rupees,[8] or 10,000 Rupees.[9]
After Link gives his Rupees to Tera, her Great Fairy Fountain will bloom as her power returns.[10] Tera will now be able to enhance Link's Armor.[11] The degree to which she can do this depends on how many other Great Fairy Fountains have been activated.[12][13][14][15]
