Karusa Valley is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Karusa Valley is located in the Gerudo Desert. The Yiga Clan Hideout is located at its eastern end, and as a result, they have left decorations in the Valley. This includes Traveler's Guardian Deities that have been defaced with the Yiga Clan symbol. Many large cliffs hang over the Valley from the Gerudo Highlands. During the day, the southern parts of of Karusa Valley are subject to intense Heat, requiring Link to have at least one level of Heat Resistance while traversing it. At night, the Valley becomes a Freezing Climate, and Link will require one to two levels of Cold Resistance depending on his elevation.

Sho Dantu Shrine is situated within the Karusa Valley, though it is initially buried beneath the ground. Its location is marked by a Pedestal and Luminous Stone Deposits, and a nearby Stone Tablet directs its reader to offer "a shining blue stone."[3] If Link places a Luminous Stone on the Pedestal, the Ancient Shrine will rise from the ground, allowing him to enter.

During the "Divine Beast Vah Naboris" Main Quest, Gerudo soldiers will direct Link to Karusa Valley so he can infiltrate the Yiga Clan Hideout.[4][5]

A total of seven Korok Seed Puzzles can be found within Karusa Valley. Five of them are Offering Spots marked by Traveler's Guardian Deities on the cliffs hanging over the Valley, into which Link must place Mighty Bananas. The sixth Puzzle is a Flower Trail located at the Valley's entrance. The final is a Natural Hiding Spot, taking the form of a Rock on the cliff with a large hole in it. When Link solves each of these Puzzles, a Korok will appear and give him a Korok Seed.[6]
