Overview

There have been several free updates released for Cadence of Hyrule, including the Octavo's Ode update that added a new playable character and Mode. In addition to free updates, there is also a Season Pass available for the game, containing three individual DLC packs.

Gameplay Changes

  • Added Achievements.
  • Adds a separate category to the Leaderboard for Multiplayer gameplay.
  • Leaderboard times have been made more precise.
  • Adds the "Beat Rumble" option, that vibrates the controller to the beat.
  • Added an indicator when picking up Weapons that cannot be used by the current character.
  • Added collision to certain areas to prevent map escapes and dungeon skips.
  • Added an option to play the Credits from the Main Menu.
  • Adjusted Enemy movement when an enemy is being pushed against the wall by Wind.
  • Adjusted player movement when holding an Object and being pushed by Wind, or holding an Object while sliding on Ice.
  • Added an option to change interface colors to improve colorblind readability.
  • Modified interface elements to appear grayed-out if the player lacks the required amount of Stamina.
  • Modified gameplay to prevent giving Short Swords and Daggers from "Flawless Victory" blue Treasure Chests.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixes a bug where Enemies could make an extra movement when a Song looped.
  • Fixes a bug where Bombs could be lifted after they exploded.
  • Fixes a bug where the game's in-game clock would continue after the system had been put to sleep or was in the HOME menu.
  • Fixes a bug where skipping a cutscene during the battle with Ganon would cause him not to regain his lost health.

  • Fixed a bug where multiple cutscenes or pieces of dialogue could be triggered at once.
  • Fixed a bug where Ganon could be defeated with a Bomb during a cutscene.
  • Fixed a bug where using the Hookshot while being damaged by a Bomb could cause the player to move incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug where using the Hookshot would add to the player's step count in Fixed-Beat Mode.
  • Fixed a bug where collecting an Item and moving between screens at the same time would duplicate it.
  • Fixed a bug where Bosses could easily be defeated with projectile attacks from outside their arena.

  • Fixed a bug where an action with the Bow or Power Glove could be canceled with opening the Inventory.
  • Fixed a bug where the character would continuously change their equipped Items if they picked up a new Item while they were on a Bridge or Object.* Fixed a bug where the Power Glove could be used to duplicate Items inside certain Objects.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Quick Restart" option would restart the game in singleplayer mode, regardless if it was played as Multiplayer earlier.
  • Fixed a bug where Bounce Traps could generate just in front of a Big Door.
  • Fixed a bug where the player would slide too far after picking up an Item on Ice.
  • Fixed a bug where using the Hookshot and Haste simultaneously would cause the number of steps to be counted incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug where the helper characters in the fight with Ganon would use glass Weapons, and thus lose them.
  • Fixed bugs concerning Fans.
  • Fixed a bug where Pieces of Heart would disappear if the player left the screen without collecting them.
  • Fixed an issue concerning Yves seeing Items she cannot use.
  • Fixed an issue where Yves could emerge from the ground inside Enemies.
  • Fixed an issue where using the Shrine of Death would skip a phase in the fight with The NecroDancer.

Gameplay Changes

  • Adds an additional three save files, for a total of six.[6]
  • Adds an option to randomize the soundtrack selection.
  • Makes it so that the player cannot change state while using a Spear or Long Sword.
  • Makes it so the camera centers on Impa after she teleports.
  • Makes it so the player cannot take damage on the same beat that they use a healing Item.
  • Affords Aria an additional beat of invulnerability after she misses a beat and is saved by a healing Item.
  • Removes the useless Ring of Regeneration, Ring of Protection, Battle Torch, and Greaves from Aria's Item pool.
  • Tweaks the Scroll of Need so that it can give Aria or Yves a Fairy should they possess an Bottle.
  • Tweaks Wizzroboe's swipe attack to be less punishing when playing as Aria.
  • Removes the Ring of Stealth from Arena Mode.
  • Changes the Ring of Stealth's aggro radius from three tiles to four.
  • Tweaks the Boots of Leaping so they lose durability faster, and can only be found once per game.
  • Tweaked how being frozen and stunned works, making it easier for the player to stick with the beat.
  • Adds several instances of guaranteed Heart drops in Deku Village.

Fixed Issues

  • Fixed a bug where the music in Future World was slightly out of sync with the beat.
  • Fixed a bug where Bosses could deal damage to the player on the same beat they were defeated.
  • Fixed a bug where Enemies could deal damage to the player on the same beat they completed a wire puzzle in Puzzle Mode.
  • Fixed a bug where using the "Quick Restart" option in a Multiplayer Permadeath Mode or Arena Mode game would submit the run to the incorrect leaderboard.
  • Fixed a bug where certain Boss movement patterns could come out of sync with the beat after the song looped.
  • Fixed a bug where Frederick would attack the player without reason in the Temple of Brainstorms.
  • Fixed a bug where digging up a buried Enemy in Arena Mode could cause them to hit the player.
  • Fixed a bug where Enemies would not drop Shovels or Torches in a Dungeon where a Shovel or Torch was available to buy.
  • Fixed a bug where the player would begin in Zelda's starting area when not playing as Zelda.
  • Fixed a bug where helper characters in the fight with Ganon could be damaged with Bombs after being frozen in Ice.
  • Fixed a bug where Synthrova's attacks would not be cancelled after their wire was destroyed.
  • Fixed a bug where Bombs thrown by Frederick would not damage the player.
  • Fixed a bug where, while playing as Frederick, the player could not enter Portals.
  • Fixed a crash during the fight with Skull Ganon.
  • Fixed a crash that would occur when the player defeated Synthrova and died on the same beat.
  • Fixed a crash that would occur while generating certain seeds in Dungeon Mode.
