This article is about the Item. For the Quest, see "Bubbul Gems".

Bubbul Gems are Items in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Location and Uses

Bubbul Gems are dropped by Bubbulfrogs, found in the Caves scattered throughout Hyrule, when defeated.[1] If a Bubbulfrog is defeated and its Bubbul Gem is not picked up before Link leaves the area, then the Bubbulfrog will need to be defeated again in order to acquire the Bubbul Gem. Upon acquiring the Bubbul Gem within a Cave, any discovered entrances for that Cave will receive a checkmark on the Purah Pad's map. Bubbul Gems can be traded to Koltin for Monster Parts and Armor.

The first trade is part of the "The Hunt for Bubbul Gems!" Side Adventure which can be started by interacting with Koltin outside the Pico Pond Cave in the Eldin Region. Link will be tasked with entering the Cave and retrieving the Bubbul Gem from the Bubbulfrog inside. Upon speaking with Koltin, Link will be able to trade the Bubbul Gem for a Bokoblin Mask.

After completing the Side Adventure, Koltin can be found in various locations across Hyrule where he will make the following trades:

Once Link has traded 46 Bubbul Gems to Koltin and obtained the Mystic Headpiece, Koltin will ask Link to find the remaining 101 Bubbul Gems even though he has no rewards left to give him. If Link collects the remaining gems and gives them to Koltin, he will give Link the Koltin's Fabric, asking Link to show it to his brother, Kilton.[2] Koltin then transforms into a Blupee and disappears.
