ReDead Knights are demonic warrior monsters found in the Arbiter's Grounds and the Cave of Ordeals in Twilight Princess. They are mummified, and their small, round faces look almost featureless from a distance. They also have tattered red cloaks.

ReDead Knights appear as elite Captains alongside Gibdos. They often appear fighting alongside enemy hordes. Their special attack involves screaming while releasing a shock wave around them or a wave of noise, which stuns any opposing Warrior, including infantry troops, who are caught in it. Once stunned, they will then attack their enemy with their Swords. Their screams, however, also leaves them vulnerable to attacks as it exposes their Weak Point Gauge. They also have an additional attack which causes them to glow briefly before spewing a poisonous miasma around them, similar to Deku Babas. When charging this attack, they expose their weakness to Arrows, which will cause them to expose their Weak Point Gauge and spin around, damaging their allied units if shot at while glowing.

At first, ReDead Knights are lying down, and are invincible. Then, when they stand up, they are vulnerable. They can be killed by twelve arrows, two Bomb Arrows, the Ball and Chain, or with a Jump Strike. They have a paralyzing scream which leaves Link open for attack (although, their shriek is very low pitched compared to the high pitched screams the regular ReDeads). If their scream isn't enough, they also drag behind them huge rusty swords covered with bandage.
When defeated, ReDead Knights will either drop Bandage or Knight Ashes Materials.

There is a cunning and nearly painless way to avoid them if in the right place at the right time. After Link gains the Hidden Skill #3, the Back Slice, rapidly press the A button, and turn the analog stick in the direction desired. Then, as they bring down their sword, Link will evade the attack and slice them. That leaves them vulnerable to attack. Another technique is to power up a Jump Strike. Both techniques can be dangerous if there are several ReDead Knights grouped together. Another useful method is by using the Ball and Chain: Link must keep his distance and throw it, for usually he won't take any damage this way. They can also be killed in wolf form by L-targeting and pressing A towards it and rapidly biting it twice. Ironically, this is the exact same way the original ReDeads attacked. In numbers, ReDead Knights tend to "gang up" on Link and create a much more frustrating battle as time wears on. One way to fight several ReDead Knights at once is to change into a wolf and target just one ReDead Knight, rapidly pressing A when it screams. The moment the scream is over, Link will jump attack the ReDead Knight.

ReDead Knights appear in Link's Crossbow Training in Level 7-1. They act they same as in Twilight Princess, and as ReDead Knights are shot down, more appear to attack. They rise up like vampires awaking from a coffin, usually very close to the camera in an attempt to startle or scare their opponents. A single shot to the head with a normal arrow will kill them; using the bomb arrows is the best way to kill the groups that appear.

Trivia
In the Japanese version, ReDead Knights are known as Gibdos, allegedly to eliminate confusion with ReDeads. The fact that they are swathed in bandages in Twilight Princess further connects them to the mummified appearance of the Gibdo. It is unknown what brought about the name change in the American version.

This article is about the enemies in Hyrule Warriors. For the eponymous enemies from Twilight Princess, see Gibdo.

ReDead Knights are Enemies in Hyrule Warriors.[1]

Characteristics

When defeated, ReDead Knights will either drop ReDead Bandage or ReDead Knight Ashes Materials.
