Deon is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Biography
Deon is a Hylian member of the Zonai Survey Team. He can initially be found resting on one of the Beds at the Emergency Shelter at Lookout Landing.
When Link first approaches Deon, he is able to recognize him.[2] Link confirms his identity, and Deon notes that his face matches the one on his missing poster.[3] He allows Link to take one of the empty Beds though he suggests staying away from Nappin due to his sleep talking.[4][5] He explains that Nappin has been sick since he visited a Chasm, even though it has been a while since he returned.[6]
If Link asks Deon about the Chasms, he explains that they were created as a result of the Upheaval.[7] The two nearest are the Hyrule Castle Chasm to the north and the Hyrule Field Chasm to the south, but Deon warns that the Depths below them are filled with dangerous Gloom.[8] He then expresses his admiration for Josha, who has been leading the Chasm Research despite her young age.[9] If Link ends their conversation, Deon invites him to make use of the resources in the Emergency Shelter.[10]
After the Side Quest "Today's Menu" is completed, Deon will sit near the Cooking Pot in the Emergency Shelter's Kitchen. He will inform Link that Burmano has departed to Hyrule Castle to investigate a new recipe, and he wonders if he should be worried about him.[11][12][13]
