Chasm Investigation Team
The Chasm Investigation Team[4] also known as the Chasm Research Team[5] is a group in Tears of the Kingdom.
Biography
The Chasm Investigation Team is a division of the Zonai Survey Team.[6] Its purpose is to conduct Chasm Research for the strange Chasms that formed after the Upheaval.[7] It is led by Josha,[2] though she is not able to interact directly with the Depths due to her young age.[4][8]
Bahni was appointed leader of an investigation crew and was deployed to the Depths. However, they encountered Gloom within the Depths and fell ill before being returned to the Hyrule Field Chasm on the Surface.[1]
After Link assists Purah with test launching a Skyview Tower, Josha tasks Robbie and Link with investigating a mysterious "figure" depicted on a stone slate that the Chasm Investigation Team uncovered.[9][10] Josha believes it could lead to evidence that a group of people once lived in the Depths,[11] and Robbie suggests using the Purah Pad's Camera to capture evidence.[12] This begins the "Camera Work in the Depths" Main Quest. To assist Link in his way to the figure's location, Robbie tasks Ponnick with guiding Link to it from the Depths directly beneath the Hyrule Field Chasm.[13] Upon seeing a Picture of the figure, Josha grows excited over the discovery of evidence that people once lived in the Depths.[14][15]
