Force Gem 11 is an Item in Spirit Tracks.[1]

Location and Uses

Force Gem 11 is an optional Force Gem that can be obtained after Link has delivered Mega Ice to Goron Village, dousing the Lava Geysers that blocked access to the village's homes. Soon afterward, Link receives a Letter from Ferrus stating that he is out photographing Armored Trains and suggests that Link pay him a visit.[2] The Letter includes a picture of a location in the Snow Realm, which can be deduced as the southwest area of the Spirit Tracks outside of the Snow Temple. Link can drive the Spirit Train to this location and meet with Ferrus, who asks the young engineer if he could be taken to meet his hero and all-time favorite engineer, Alfonzo.[3]

Upon arrival in Aboda Village, Ferrus excitedly makes his way to Alfonzo's House to strike up a conversation with his hero, and Link can follow him inside witness the encounter.[4] Ferrus begins gushing with admiration and asks for an autograph,[5] but Alfonzo is puzzled by his apparent fame, having assumed he was known as a legendary swordsman, rather than a legendary engineer.[6] Eventually, Ferrus turns to Link and admits that the encounter wasn't going as well as he'd hoped, but thanks him anyway for the train ride by producing a Force Gem.[7]

Force Gem 11 creates a new section of Spirit Tracks primarily in the Forest Realm. The tracks pass through a tunnel behind Hyrule Castle and branch to the west to join with the tracks from Force Gem 5, as well as north and into the Snow Realm, emerging near the Bridge Worker's Home.
