Farosh is one of three roaming Dragons in Hyrule, the others being Naydra and Dinraal.[3] It is the servant of the Spring of Courage, and it has been described as a Spirit of Lightning that takes the form of a Dragon.[3] According to old legends, Farosh flies into the sky when the sun begins to set, but no modern accounts of such an occurrence exist.[3]
While it cannot be defeated, Farosh does not actively try to harm Link. However, if Link gets too close, he will be damaged by the Electricity surrounding its body.[3] This can be avoided by wearing the Thunder Helm or the full Rubber Armor that has been enhanced twice by a Great Fairy, both of which grant Link the Unshockable Set Bonus. Farosh will drop different Materials if Link shoots it with a Bow. Depending on where Farosh is shot, it will drop a Shard of Farosh's Horn, Shard of Farosh's Fang, Farosh's Claw or Farosh's Scale. After being shot, the Dragon will disappear until the next in-game day.
Farosh's Scale can be dropped into the Spring of Courage to reveal a hidden Ancient Shrine.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity
As part of the "Floria Bridge Protection" Side Quest, Merchants have become fearful of crossing Floria Bridge, since they could be shocked by Farosh's Electricity as it passes by.[2] After the Warriors provide Electricity-resistant Materials to the Merchants, they begin to travel over Floria Bridge again without having to worry about Farosh.[4]
