Goron Elder

Appearances and Biography
Majora's Mask
The Goron Elder is an aged Goron who appears in Majora's Mask. He acts as the tribal patriarch and is the father of the Goron Elder's Son.[1][2] On a quest to calm the child down, Link finds the ancient Goron Elder frozen in ice.[3] Link frees him using Hot Spring Water, but he refuses to acknowledge him, thinking he is an illusion.[4] However, when he is told his Son misses him, he teaches Goron Link the Goron Lullaby introduction and implores him to soothe his son to sleep.[2][5][6] Even when unfrozen, the Goron Elder will freeze in a prison of ice if left to stand in the cold.
After the arrival of Spring, the Goron Elder can be found in Goron Village. He offers the position of tribal patriarch to Goron Link who he assumes is Darmani.[7]
Oracle of Ages

In Oracle of Ages, the Goron elder became trapped under some fallen rocks in Rolling Ridge in present day.[8] The other Gorons had tried to break away the rocks, but even with their Goron strength, they couldn't break it and required the use of a Bomb Flower,[9] which hadn't been seen in years. In the past, the Great Moblin had built his fortress in the western peak of Rolling Ridge and had kept all of the Bomb Flowers for himself.[10] Once Link had defeated the Great Moblin, the Gorons had their Bomb Flowers returned to them. As thanks, Link was rewarded a Bomb Flower which he took into present day to free the Goron elder, who admits that he was not in any trouble at all.[11] After this incident, the Goron Elder can be found at the Goron Shooting Gallery.
In a Linked Game of Oracle of Seasons, a Goron claiming to be one of the Goron Elder's descendants appears within Goron Mountain. Apparently, the Goron Elder travelled from Labrynna to Holodrum and settled in the mountains there. The Goron holds the Elder's diary, and would have liked to have asked him the meaning of a secret found within. Link can bring this password to the Goron Elder, who, having only thought of it later on in the future, will thank Link for telling him this new secret.[12] After testing his skills in a target-shooting game, the Goron Elder gives Link the Biggoron's Sword as thanks for teaching him the secret.[13]
Twilight Princess
In Twilight Princess, there are four Goron Elders: Gor Coron, Gor Amoto, Gor Liggs, and Gor Ebizo. When the Goron Patriarch, Darbus, is transformed into the Twilit Igniter Fyrus by one of the three Fused Shadows, the Elders lock him away deep inside the Goron Mines, where Gor Amoto, Gor Liggs, and Gor Ebizo station themselves, each holding a fragment of the key needed to get into the room where Fyrus is being kept. In order to enter the mines at all, Link first had to best Gor Coron in sumo wrestling. After this, he was allowed to explore the mines, and recovered the three pieces of the key.
After defeating Fyrus and returning him to normal, the four elders could be found in different places; Gor Ebizo was found in Malo Mart, while Gor Liggs was found outside it. Both of them worked alongside Malo and Link to help extend Malo Mart to Castle Town. Gor Amoto remained inside Death Mountain along with Gor Coron and Darbus. Darbus and Gor Coron were later found in Kakariko Village doing what they could to help restore Ilia's memories. In particular, Gor Coron tipped Link off to the existence of the Hidden Village and set Darbus to deal with the boulder that was in the way to the village. After this, both of them could be found back up in Death Mountain, where they remained for the rest of the game.
Spirit Tracks
A Goron Elder also appears in Spirit Tracks, who lives with his grandson in the Goron Village of the Fire Realm.[14] Like Kagoron, the Elder has a starkingly ashy appearance, not to mention his tall height and heavy build, as compared to the other Gorons living about the village. The Goron Elder grants Link passage to the Fire Sanctuary, and its Lokomo, Embrose, via the passageway through his house at the apex of Goron Village, but only after he speaks with Kargoron and qualms the raging fire geysers that have quarantined portions of his town with Mega Ice from the Wellspring Station.
Upon meeting him, Princess Zelda is quite intimidated, and tries to encourage Link to make a good first impression.[15] After the Goron Elder's Grandson informs his grandfather about Link's Mega Ice quest,[16] the Elder immediately warms up to Link, and in return steps aside so Link can use his house as a passage to the Fire Sanctuary.[17]

- The Goron Elder in Oracle of Ages slightly looks like Darunia of Ocarina of Time.
- In Twilight Princess, Gor Ebizo appearance is very similar to that of the Goron Elder from Majora's Mask.
