The South Eldin Sky Archipelago is a location in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]

Features and Overview

The South Eldin Sky Archipelago is a collection of Sky Islands that can be found in the southern part of the Eldin Canyon Sky.[2] There are two sets of Mine Cart Tracks that run through the Sky Islands beginning at the western Island then traveling through the southern Island before arriving at the eastern Island. In addition to being populated by Zonai Devices, a broken set of Mine Cart Tracks leads off of the north side of the western Island. Beneath the western Island, there is an unrelated set of three Sky Islands that are not counted as part of the South Eldin Sky Archipelago and instead simply belong to the Eldin Canyon Sky.

The western and southern Sky Islands are guarded by Soldier Constructs, with one riding a Mine Cart between them. The southern Island is a three-tiered structure, with the entrance at its bottom floor. The middle floor is separated into several small rooms that house Decayed Constructs and Treasure Chests. These rooms are often separated by roots that must be cut or burned. The top level of this Island is a plaza with another set of broken Mine Cart Tracks that is pre-loaded with a Mine Cart and an intact set of Tracks beside it. There is a small cache of Zonai Devices nearby to help with the upward movement toward the eastern Island. A broken set of stairs leading to the middle level can be found on the north side of this Island.

The eastern island consists of a single platform for loading and unloading Mine Carts. A set of stairs leads under a set of archways onto a small street that overlooks a Sky Island to its north. This northeastern Sky Island features a Tilted Platform at its center, the Kadaunar Shrine to its west, and a Device Dispenser to its east. The Tilted Platform points to a Sky Island to the southeast. This Sky Island features a small plaza with Barrels and Jars that house supplies. A smaller Sky Island sits directly beneath this one, with a lone Treasure Chest dangling from a Vine between them. Further southeast and lower in elevation there is a Small Island with the Account of a Celebration etched onto an Ancient Tablet. North and above from this plaza there is a small Sky Island that houses an Apple Tree. Finally, a Sky Island sits to the northeast and far below these clusters of Islands. This Island features a couple Air Platforms and a supply of Zonai Devices.
