The Rising Island Chain is the set of Sky Islands in the Hebra Mountains Sky. Its lowest Island is situated just above Hebra Peak, while its highest can be found below the Wind Temple. The Sky Islands advance to the northeast before they wrap back around to the southeast below the Wind Temple. The entire Chain features a unique architectural style in comparison to other Sky Islands. As a result, they also produce unique types of Ruins Rubble. In addition, the Islands feature several Flying Ships. Prior to the defeat of Colgera as part of "Tulin of Rito Village", the entire Rising Island Chain will be under the effect of a constant Blizzard. After Colgera is defeated, the Blizzard will dissipate above 0807 elevation.

During the Main Quest "Tulin of Rito Village", Tulin claims he saw a figure resembling Zelda on the Rising Island Chain near Hebra Peak, who thereafter flew above the clouds.[2] Soon afterwards, Link and Tulin receive permission from Teba to investigate the source of the Blizzard plaguing Hebra.[3] As a result, they use the Rising Island Chain to reach the center of the storm. When they reach the area where Tulin saw Princess Zelda, he is distracted upon seeing a Flying Ship.[4][5] The pair then hear the voice of the Sage of Wind calling out to them from the cloud above.[6] While looking up, they see a flash of Lightning that illuminates the silhouette of the Wind Temple, and since the circumstances remind him of the "Song of the Stormwind Ark", Tulin wonders if it recounts a true story.[7] Since Zelda is nowhere to be seen, Tulin decides that they should continue heading toward the Wind Temple.[8]

As Link and Tulin approach the Sky Island containing Kahatanaum Shrine, Tulin remarks that he has never been so high into the Sky.[9] He also warns Link to be careful about the Freezing Climate.[9]
