Traveler's Shields are simple, mid-grade Shields. They are beloved by many travelers and are used for protection against weak monsters and Creatures.[1] The Traveler's Shield is also a part of an unnamed set of equipment used by Link in promotional media, alongside a Soldier's Broadsword and a Traveler's Bow.

There are many places to find a Traveler's Shield, most notably at enemy camps on the beaches surrounding Hyrule Field and West Necluda. They are also given out by Selmie as a reward for completing the Shield-Surfing Mini-Game with a time between 2:30 and 2:45.[2]

The following amiibo have a chance to spawn a Treasure Chest containing a Traveler's Shield when they are scanned with the amiibo Rune:

Being made from Wood, Traveler's Shields will start to burn if exposed to a Fire. Since they are not made of metal, they do not conduct Electricity or attract Lightning when equipped during a Thunderstorm, and can not be manipulated using the Magnesis Rune. When dropped into Water, Traveler's Shields will float.

Traveler's Shields belong to the Traveler's Gear archetype of equipment, which are all said to be used to defend travelers throughout Hyrule Kingdom.[3] A Traveler's Shield is part of an unnamed set of equipment used by Link in promotional media, alongside a Soldier's Broadsword and a Traveler's Bow.
