Steel Lizal Shield

Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Steel Lizal Shields are Lizal Shields that have been reinforced with several metal shells.[1] They belong to the Lizalfos Gear equipment archetype.[3] Though they offer an incredible defense, their weight makes it so only a skilled soldier can bear them.[1] They are commonly wielded by Black Lizalfos, Silver Lizalfos, and Golden Lizalfos. After Enemies tier up for the second time, they are also used by Fire-Breath Lizalfos, Ice-Breath Lizalfos, and Electric Lizalfos.[verification needed]
If Link speaks to Selmie with a Steel Lizal Shield equipped, she will make note of it. She explains that their spike makes them worth major style points, and they make their riders look hard-core while Shield Surfing.[4]
Being made of metal, Steel Lizal Shields will conduct Electricity and attract Lightning if they are equipped during a Thunderstorm. They also sink if they are dropped in Water, but they can be picked up and manipulated with the Magnesis Rune. Finally, they will not burn if they are exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.
