The Monster-Control Crew is a group in Tears of the Kingdom.[2]
Biography
The Monster-Control Crew is a group of volunteers who have joined together to defend the people of Hyrule from the onslaught of Monsters that have been running rampant since the Upheaval.[3][4] They are led by Gralens in Lookout Landing.[5] When Zelda vanished, Purah asked them to support the search for her,[6] but as Link returned they focused their efforts again on Monster-hunting.[4] Three captains lead their squads on different missions around Hyrule:[7]
- Hoz's squad hunts Monsters in Hyrule Field south of Lookout Landing and later in Necluda.[8]
- Toren's squad is on the north side of Death Mountain in Eldin to take out Monsters nesting in a Cave.[9]
- Flaxel's squad wants to subdue a Pirate Ship on the Menoat River in Faron to the south.[10]

Trivia
- While most Hylians in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are named after types of plants, most of the newly added Hylian soldiers of the Monster-Control Crew are specifically named after carnivorous plants, their names generally being derived from the names of species of the genera Sarracenia, Drosera and Nepenthes.
