Igneo Talus's attack patterns are much the same as its more commonly encountered stone counterpart, however, if [[Link]] comes into direct contact with it, he will catch fire. An Igneo Talus is large and slow-moving, with its main attacks being to launch pieces of its arms at Link, crash down in an attempt to fall on him, and take a ponderous swing at the hero if he is close enough. To hurt it, he must hit the piece of Ore protruding from its body. This can be accomplished by climbing onto it when it falls over, using a longer range [[Weapons in Breath of the Wild|Weapon]] if the Ore is low enough or by using a [[Bow#Breath of the Wild|Bow]] to hit it with [[Arrow]]s. This can be accomplished more easily by using the [[Remote Bomb Rune]] to blow off one of its arms, causing it to lose its balance and fall.

Igneo Taluses are recurring Bosses and Sub-Bosses in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3] They are a fiery variant of Stone Taluses.

Igneo Taluses are a variation of Stone Taluses that are indigenous to the Eldin Canyon. They disguise themselves as the molten rocks that can be found throughout the Canyon.[4]

Igneo Taluses attack patterns are much the same as their Stone counterparts. However, if Link comes into direct contact with with an Igneo Talus, he will catch Fire.[4] To prevent this, he can wear Flamebreaker Armor that has been enhanced twice by a Great Fairy, as its Fireproof Set Bonus will protect him. Alternatively, Link can attack the Talus with Ice-based Weapons to cool it down temporarily.[4]

An Igneo Talus is large and slow-moving, with its main attacks being to launch pieces of its arms at Link, crash down in an attempt to fall on him, or taking a large swing at him. To hurt Igneo Taluses, Link must hit the Ore Deposit protruding from their bodies. This can be accomplished by climbing onto it when it falls over, using a longer range Weapon, or by using a Bow to hit it with Arrows. When struck, the Ore Deposits will occasionally drop pieces of Flint, Opals, Rubies, and Diamonds. Using the Remote Bomb Rune, Link can cause an Igneo Talus to fall over, making its Ore Deposit easier to access.

As part of "The Road to Respect" Side Quest, Link learns that Rohan tasked Fugo with defeating every Igneo Talus around Goron City, but he has been unable to reach the one at Darunia Lake.[5] Once Link has defeated this Igneo Talus, Fugo will offer to buy the achievement for him for 100 Rupees.[6] If Link accepts, Fugo will give him a Silver Rupee.[7]

After Link has defeated Calamity Ganon for the first time, he will be able to talk about Stone Taluses with Kilton at the Fang and Bone.[8] He reveals that he has been unable to research them due to their massive size, so he asks Link to defeat all of the Talus in Hyrule so he can analyze the scents they leave behind.[9] This count includes all of the Igneo Taluses in Eldin Canyon. Once all of the Talus have been killed, Kilton will give Link the Medal of Honor: Talus as a reward.[10] By analyzing their scents, Kilton is able to learn about the musculoskeletal structure and diet of Taluses.[11]

As part of The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack, the Igneo Talus Titan will appear at Lake Darman.[12] It is an Igneo Talus that achieved a massive size by living in the Lake's Lava.[13]
