Red Tektites are recurring Enemies in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]
Characteristics
The Legend of Zelda
A Link to the Past
Ocarina of Time
The Red Tektite, a weaker counterpart of the Blue Tektite, is found in the Death Mountain region. They are weaker healthwise than the Blue Tektite is, however besides that and the color difference they are very similar in behavior and structure. They are also much less in numbers while Blue Tektites are far more common. They can be flipped over with the Megaton Hammer.
Four Swords Adventures
The Minish Cap
Red Tektites appear on Mount Crenel and Mount Crenel's Base in The Minish Cap. They leap around and try to damage Link. It takes two strikes from the Smith's Sword to defeat them, though once Link completes the Cave of Flames and obtains the White Sword from Melari, Red Tektites can be defeated with just one strike.
Twilight Princess
Phantom Hourglass
A Link Between Worlds
