Herb Sauté
Herb Sautés are recurring Meals in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Herb Sautés are dishes made by Cooking any Vegetable, herb, or Flower together with Goron Spice in a Cooking Pot. Their neutral versions are made by using Hyrule Herbs, which offer no status effects. When eaten, they will replenish some Hearts to Link's Life Gauge. Herb Sautés are fragrant mixtures of herbs and spices that have a unique aroma.[1]
Different variations of Herb Sautés can be made, depending on the type of ingredients used:
- Chilly Herb Sauté:[4] Made by using Cool Safflinas. Eating them grants Link one level of Heat Resistance.[4]
- Electro Herb Sauté:[5] Made by using Electric Safflinas. If eaten, Link will gain one level of Shock Resistance temporarily.[5]
- Enduring Herb Sauté:[6] Made by using Endura Carrots. These Sautés completely refill and overfill Link's Stamina Wheel when consumed.[6]
- Hasty Herb Sauté:[7] Made by using Swift Carrots or Swift Violets. Link gains a temporary boost to his movement speed when he eats them.[7]
- Hearty Herb Sauté:[8] Made by using Hearty Radishes or Big Hearty Radishes. Eating one will completely heal all Link's Hearts and grant him temporary Hearts.[8]
- Mighty Herb Sauté:[9] Made by using Mighty Thistles. They can be eaten to increase the power of Link's attacks.[9]
- Sneaky Herb Sauté:[10] Made by using Blue Nightshades or Silent Princesses. When eaten, they increase Link's Stealth for a short period of time.[10]
- Spicy Herb Sauté:[11] Made by using Warm Safflinas. When eaten, they grant Link one level of Cold Resistance.[11]
- Tough Herb Sauté:[12] Made by using Armoranths. They increase Link's defense if he eats them.[12]
Tears of the Kingdom
Herb Sautés return in Tears of the Kingdom. Due to the addition of Stambulbs, it is now possible to Cook their energizing variety.
